When intalling SilentStep Underlayment under ANY Shaw laminate floor, you will extend the Shaw laminate flooring's warranty by TEN years. The SilentStep underlayment has a high density, 100% closed cell polyolefin foam core. It is very stable and will not crumble or deteriorate under flooring. SilentStep has excellent resilience and resistance to tears and punctures, and does not absorb or trap and hold subfloor moisture. Superior performance acoustical flooring underlayment with unsurpassed sound absortion properties for use with laminate and hardwood floating floor. This underlayment has seam overlap protection with peel and stick adhesive strip eliminating the need to tape seams when installing over concrete. Has an attached 4 mil polyethylene moisture barrier for superior subfloor moisture resistance. Made in America.
